Some notes about using PmWiki effectively:
- Fall-through / group default page names like
Blog/can't be used in page trail markup. Use the full page name and parentheses to elide unwanted parts if needed. - Groups are best used for special purposes, such as giving a set of pages their own unique footer or a place to share numerous attachments, e.g. for a photo gallery.
Upload via drag&drop appears to be broken as of version 2.4.0: it always places files in a non-existent group named Undefined (note to self: investigate this).Bulk upload via FTP works fine.- Apparently fixed in version 2.4.1 anyway.
Tips
- If you can't think of a good group in which to place a new page, it likely belongs in Main.
